it’s one of those mondays where you just want to be done with everything, go home, take a bath and sleep. Well, for me it might be like this every monday but as i keep telling people don’t judge me. The weekend was quite tiring. We did a little mall hopping on saturday, I finally bought a brush so I can finish my painting (poor thing’s been waiting for me to finish it for the last 2 months now). Then, rented couple of movies. One of them was Silent Hill and I have to say if you love horror/thriller/sci-fi movies you should watch it. It’s on DVD and I promise you are going to love it. We also rented Dreamers but I won’t be watching it since we already made that mistake couple of years ago. My goodness, we were all wishing it’d be over soon, but the damn thing took more than we wanted it to. Then on Sunday we had to go out after midnight thanks to certain someone. This saturday we’re hosting the world premierre of the movie “All the King’s Men” and by we I mean my dear school Tulane. All the stars of the movie, including Jude Law (Baris, you wanna cum over for the weekend?:) will be here and hopefully Myke will be taking pictures so I can post them here. I am not going to watch the movie though because I am invited to a birthday party in the evening with free booze and food (well it’s hard to be wanted in every occasion) .
I’ve found this link today on The Daily Transcript. It’s an animation showing what’s going on in the cell at a very high magnification. I love the kinesin (stick-man like looking thing) carrying the vescile (the huge ball on top of it) and insertion of peptides in to the mitochondrial membrane (as in the picture). Watching this made me realize again why I do what I do. Eventhough I keep saying science is not for me, at the end I love what I am doing (i guess)…
On the last note, I am taking modern dance and I’m loving it. Tumay says the instructor is also giving hip-hop/jazz classes the next semester. Yay!!!
